So beautiful ! Suppose someone produced a range of cards like this today, with their historical as well as artistic content, so as to appeal to the market for nostalgia. Might prove profitable. I’d but two of each anyway.
I agree! They look quite unusual to our eyes because there is no specifically Christmas/wintertime symbolism, which is what we expect with modern Christmas cards. The flowers are actually summer flowers, and the ears of wheat are autumnal, for example.
